Peter D Kelly III is a respected attorney, lecturer and commentator who is a distinguished member of the of the California  Democratic Party. Kelly served two terms as State Chairman of the California Democratic Party prior to which he served as the Party’s Chief of Staff and Finance Director. He served several terms as a Member of the Democratic National Committee. Kelly has served on the finance committees of countless campaigns including Clinton/Gore and all of the Boxer for Senate campaigns.

Kelly began his lawyer at Manatt, Phelps and Phillips where became a Partner. In 1985 he established his own firm, now Kelly Crane Law, which he manages to this day. The firm specializes in clients with needs before all levels of government local, state and federal, Clients have ranged from startups to fortune 100 companies. The firm for years has focused on land use and real estate development. The firm has assisted clients in obtaining millions of dollars in government contracts.

Kelly has a long record of community and public service including serving on the Boards of the Southwestern University School Law, St. John’s Health Care Foundation, Cal State Fullerton Foundation, the First AME Church Foundation and Chair of the Los Angeles County Chapter of the American Heart Association. Kelly is a Cal State Fullerton Alumnus of the Year and has been elected a “Southern California Super Lawyer”.

 Kelly attended Cal State Fullerton, BA 1972 and Southwestern University School of Law, JD 1976 where he was a published law review author and Articles Editor of the Law Review.

Kelly is well known for his national network of colleagues he has mentored since their start in politics and today hold significant elected and appointed offices across the United States.
